Iowa State offered 2014 big Alec Brennan during the April live period while playing for Expressions Elite, alongside other 2014 offers Jared Terrell & Abdul-Malik Abu. Below is a recent video of a workout courtesy of Ballas TV. Brennan’s current offers include Miami, Iowa State, Rhode Island, Brown, Columbia, Massachusetts, California and New Hampshire. He is also receiving interest from Wake Forest, Stanford, Harvard, Providence, South Florida, Rutgers, Indiana, Penn State, and Cincinnati.

One of the main targets in the 2013 class for the Cyclones, shooting guard Matt Thomas (Wisconsin Playmakers) has narrowed his list down to three according to multiple reports and his AAU Coach.  Iowa State, Wisconsin and Virginia are the top three after an unofficial visit to Virginia last week.  Thomas has visited Iowa State and Wisconsin several times throughout the basketball season.

Virginia Tech transfer Dorian Finney-Smith has narrowed his list down to seven schools as of yesterday according to Adam Zagoria.  Florida, Louisville, Texas, Marquette, Iowa State, Ohio State and Georgetown are those seven.  While Finney-Smith will likely take several visits, Iowa State currently has the only planned visit (June 7-9).

Terrence Samuel had an impressive showing this weekend during the is8 playoffs, scoring 14 points in the second half and leading the New Rens (NY) to an 82-80 victory including an assist of the game-winning layup.  Samuel’s latest recruitment update includes offers from Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Rhode Island, Dayton, Iowa State, Louisville and Cincinnati among others.  Samuel told Coast2Coast Hoops that since offering Connecticut has been recruiting him the hardest.

Toby Hegner, a 2013 big of the Wisconsin Playmakers is now receiving interest from Clemson after another solid set of performances this past weekend.

Denzell Watts received an offer from Alabama-Birmingham this weekend, pushing his offer list over a dozen including Iowa State, Baylor, Florida State and USC among others.

2013 forward Khadeen Carrington had am impressive weekend for the New York Lightning at the Hall of Fame Classic, scoring 32 points in the championship game.  Boston College, DePaul, Iowa State and South Carolina are said to have offered Carrington.

Isaiah Whitehead‘s latest recruitment list has been updated, Iowa State has offered and continues to keep in contact with the Top 25 guard.

Two of Iowa State’s 2015 offers had solid weekends at the Minnesota Fury Invitational, both Alex Illikainen and Henry Ellenson are big men that could be Top 100 recruits in the future.  Ellenson is reported to be a 6’8″ and 230 pound soon-to-be sophomore, giving him a very solid build to grow upon.  Both are ones to keep an eye on over the next few years.

A new 2013 interest on Iowa State’s radar is 6’6″ forward Tyrone Outlaw (Garner Road AAU, NC) who has seen his recruitment take off during the early portions of the AAU season.  Outlaw recently told Josh Paunil that Yale, Harvard, Missouri, Iowa State, Wake Forest, Duke, Miami (FL), Virginia Tech, Richmond and Winthrop are showing interest.  Iowa State watched Outlaw in late April at the VIP Exclusive in Las Vegas.

Shamiek Sheppard (New Rens, NY) made a visit to Towson last week according to the New York Post.  Sheppard has had interest from Iowa State, but Drexel and Towson are two likely favorites.

Kevin Zabo of CIA Bounce picked up an offer from West Virginia over the weekend as first reported by Alex Kline.  West Virginia joins George Washington on his offer list, however many high-major schools including Iowa State have shown interest.

Another 2013 point guard on the radar of Iowa State is Shane Rector from St. Raymond’s High School and Playaz Club AAU (NJ).  Rector recently received an offer from Providence, but Iowa State and Massachusetts are two others that are heavily interested according to reports.  Oklahoma and SMU have also recently shown interest according to the New York Post.
